Circular compounds with prime performance
The result is a circular compound that behaves like virgin material in both processing and performance. ECOmpounds are suitable for standard production techniques such as extrusion and injection molding and can be used as a drop-in solution in existing processes, without requiring modifications to molds or machine settings.
For maximum CO₂ reduction, ECOmpounds can be combined with bio-based and/or renewable raw materials. By combining recycled content with renewable feedstocks, an optimal sustainability profile is achieved: minimal dependence on fossil resources and a significantly reduced CO₂ footprint—without compromising mechanical performance, appearance, or processability.
Sustainability with ECOmpounds does not mean compromising on quality. On the contrary, each formulation is technically tailored to the application, with controlled properties and consistent quality. This ensures reliability, process stability, and product performance, even in demanding applications.
Within both our 4KFLEX range (elastomers such as SEBS, TPV, TPO, and TPU) and our 4KTEC range (engineering compounds such as PA6, PC, filled PP, and other engineering plastics), an ECOmpound variant is available. This makes it possible to convert virtually any standard material into a circular alternative with a measurable impact on CO₂ reduction.
Our approach is also demonstrably assured. We operate in accordance with ISO 14001 and are independently assessed by EcoVadis. In addition, we are ISCC certified, meaning that the use of renewable raw materials is fully traceable throughout the supply chain. Through the ISCC mass balance system, renewable feedstocks can be accurately and verifiably allocated to specific compounds and products. This ensures that sustainability is not just a promise, but also substantiated and verifiable.
